Sargent – PF200 Leisure Battery ChargerThis standalone charger fits neatly alongside our power supply units for customers who need more power. As the unit has no switches, it does not need to remain on display inside the van.The system works with standard lead-acid batteries and, in most cases, also supports AGM batteries and many lithium batteries with built-in battery management systems that accept an input voltage of 13.8V.Technical:Always check compatibility before installing non-standard batteries by referring to the battery documentation or contacting the manufacturer.The recommended battery capacity ranges from 85Ah to 110Ah, making this charger unsuitable for larger or multiple battery installations.Install an inline 20A fuse in the battery feed between the battery and the electrical harness.Protect the charger input with a 5A fuse and/or a suitable miniature circuit breaker.Fit a fuse rated at a maximum of 15A to the charger output, positioned as close to the charger as possible.During stage one, the charger gradually increases the battery voltage while limiting current to initiate charging and protect the battery. In stage two, the voltage rises to 13.8V to deliver the bulk charge. Once the battery reaches full charge, the charger maintains a float charge at 13.8V. You can leave the charger switched on continuously as required.When connected to a mains supply, the battery charger / power converter also powers the leisure equipment. The module supplies DC power to leisure equipment up to 13.9 amps (192 watts), distributing the available power between the leisure load and the battery.You can adjust the charger output voltage to compensate for installation voltage drop or to match specific battery requirements. To access the adjuster potentiometer, remove the rubber bung on the underside of the charger.
