Description “Roadside Reflections” Sometimes, I will actually post recent images. While a rarity, this is one such case. We just took this one a few days ago. Jess and I are going through a particularly difficult season as she deals with a back injury, we are still doing all we can to follow God’s path before us. Due to the difficulties and just how busy our life has become, we very rarely get to go out and enjoy our day-long hikes and time in the forests around our area like we had before. This is life. We take what is handed to us and we make the very best of it. So recently, I have taken to making myself look for and actually stopping on the rural roadsides around our home when a scene unfolds before us so beautifully. Many roadside scenes are simply amazing and easily overlooked as the world speeds on by. Going forward I plan to stop as often as possible as we are driving around the beautiful areas around our county and in the gorgeous neighboring counties. I have often thought about doing this, and more often regretted not stopping. But as we go through our current season – the time not spent hiking will be spent instead on taking advantage of the beautiful little gifts God does send our way. This a bit of private land on a conjoined trio of lakes known as Green Lake, Middle Lake and Mud Lake. Found on F-17 and Heath Road. Behind the photo: Jess and I are involved in a wonderful ministry called Keryx. This is basically a weekend retreat format “crash course” in Christianity. It can be life changing, if you allow it. Well, just this last weekend, our cousin attended a weekend for the first time. The transformation in my cousin is very similar to the transformation in light shown in this picture. While the transformation found in her is infinitely more beautiful, it is very similar to the transformation in the scenes found in this world as the day’s light transforms from hot and blinding midday sun to the soft beautiful light of the golden hours. May your life be transformed so beautifully, too. Let us all be glad in the light God provides for us all: (Psalms 97:11) “Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.” We hope you love this scene as much as we do. Available in all of our popular formats! And, of course, custom options available upon request.
